How to determine the exact XBMC version you're running?
#1
Some how-to's only work for specific versions of XBMC. I, for instance, installed XBMC via the package manager in Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid. I do not know the exact version of my XBMC. Some versions even have a nickname, just like Ubuntu releases.

How can I see the exact XBMC version I'm running?

Press "I" button on main menu.

Hmmm, that doesn't work on my build.

Assuming you're using the Confluence build arrow down to "System" then press the right arrow. Now arrow down to "System info" and press return.

I use a mce remote with eventghost and pressing info button does the trick. But every skin has a "system info" button somewhere.
