I finally worked out why my videos would auto-repeat in XBMC. This has been frustrating me for a good year Smile

I was so happy to work it out, I wrote a blog post Smile

http://todayguesswhat.blogspot.com/2010/...os-in.html

Here are the steps to prevent auto-repeat

Navigate to a movie/tv episode etc

Hold down menu button until popup menu appears

from popup menu, choose "Queue item"

hold down menu button once more until popup menu re-appears

from popup menu, choose "Now playing ..."

"NOW PLAYING - VIDEOS" screen should appear

press Previous/Rewind button, and a side-menu on left-hand side should appear

Check the value for the REPEAT option. If it is set to REPEAT:ALL, movie will play over and over.

I can now turn my TV off without explicitly stopping the movie, yay!

I tried this but when i got to the step of now playing it wasn't an option to click.
On the current version, after queueing the item, instead of looking for Now Playing,  press up or left to get the side menu with "Viewtype, sort by, order, filter..."

Down the bottom of the menu is "Go To Playlist"... select that

Then you get Shuffle and Repeat options.

Quite why this is so hidden away and how it ever became enabled on my system is puzzling!

Thanks again to the OP, I would never have fixed this without his post.

Alternatively, use kodi-send -a "PlayerControl(RepeatOff)"
Need help programming a Streamzap remote?

This started approx 1 month ago, not sure if there was an update that changed the setting or more likely one of my kids set it to repeat. Turned repeat off, and videos only play once now. That was frustrating.
