I compiled the master and AE branches on Tuesday (after the master was merged into AE), so basically the same code, except the AE part...
In AE, I see one thread using 80% of CPU all the time, even while doing nothing in the main menu (no sound, no animation (I use the dirty region option)). Nothing in the log file of course.
In master, I don't see that, all threads use less than 10-20%
My system is ION, running Fedora 15 x86_64 with PulseAudio. I use HDMI without any pass-through.
Am I the only one seeing high CPU usage in AE?
Except that, it's working great. I always had "hiccups" with the master branch when playing some Dolby Digital tracks. AE just works perfectly with those. Thanks for your efforts!
