These are the kind of lists I like. I have only seen 1 of those 5, so I'll have to try and find the others.

This list may not be my favorite 5, but they are excellent movies I find that many of my friends have/had not seen:

Sunshine (2007)
Das Boot (1981)
The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
Gattaca (1997)
Ronin (1998)

I didn't see anywhere else I could post a off-topic general quest. I'm looking for the AppleTV_Intro.mov in 1080p HD format if it even exists... I already have the 720p version and desire a hacked version as an intro into my XBMC start-up.

I've done some searching and have come up dry, considering the Apple TV never officially supported 1920x1080, it's quite likely that the only 1080p copy exists with the ad company if it all....

Sorry for high jacking the thread... just couldn't see anywhere else to place it.

Ah. Walkabout, reminds me of Blue Lagoon. I might just buy the bluray. I had a question for you guys with over a 500+ movie collection. Do you guys actually buy the DVDs or download the movies? Not only will it be a lot of money, but the ripping process must take forever. Here's my top 5 off the top of my head:

A Bronx Tale
The Toy Story series
The Wood
.... eh, make that my top 3.

Awwww, No love for part II? That one is my FAVORITE. The theme and sound track of the 2nd is awesome.

They just don't make movies like that anymore. Sad

Buy them.

Target and Walmart often have good classic movies, childhood favorites, and 3 yr. old blockbusters for $5 - $10.

Also, ebay is a great place to collect movies.

Who cares if they're used. As long as they'll rip.

And yes, it takes a long time to rip.

I think you should revise that. It takes a long time to transcode. If you're ripping DVD to ISO, my PC can do it in under 5 min.
