[WINDOWS] ATI HD5450 DDR2 vs DDR3

I have the opportunity to locally purchase one of the two following ATI cards:

1. Asus EAH5450 512MB DDR2
2. Asus EAH5450 1GB DDR3

I will be running XBMC on Windows 7 with a Pentium E2160 and connecting to my TV (and soon an Onkyo AVR) via HDMI. I've read on various sites that 512MB vs 1GB memory for this level of card does not matter, but this always refers to DDR3 memory. My question is, for usage exclusively on XBMC (1080p playback, de-interlace 1080i), will it matter if the card has DDR2 instead?

As Nvidia seems to have issues with HDMI sound on Philips TVs, it is not an option at the moment.

Any help is much appreciated.
