Release [depricated] old YouTube Plugin - XBMC 13.0 Frodo/Gotham only
(2012-11-27, 22:28)Salabim Wrote: There is 1 problem with the Youtube add-on, for some reason it never shows any video's for this subscription :
https://www.youtube.com/user/Nudelyn (Notice the username is 'Leo Davidson')
... perhaps the space in the username is making the add-on not show any contents ?
I see a similar issue: among my subscriptions I have 'Fritzing Org', and although that channel has plenty of videos, the YT plugin doesn't find anything. However by search I can find the videos.
It's the only channel I subscribed that has a space as part of the name, so I was wondering that was the cause of the issue.
Hi,

I have problems using the youtube add-on as playback handler for some youtube playlists in one of my add-ons.

For example this playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8BA670090C9CC01A
My add-on calls: plugin://plugin.video.youtube/?action=play_all&playlist=PL8BA670090C9CC01A

It throws a Script-Failure and starts with the playback of the second item.

Here is the important part of the xbmc.log:
Code:
11:31:36 T:2954383360 WARNING: [plugin.video.doku_monster] Using playback url: plugin://plugin.video.youtube/?action=play_all&playlist=PL8BA670090C9CC01A

I just enabled "debug" option in the Advanced settings of the addon and then it asked for the code.

i had to put this into the youtube plugin folder to get it to work again

Works, thx!

Is there any chance to get an option to give thumbs up/down to watched videos?

That didn't help for me.
I have XBMC v12 and youtube add-on v3.3.0. "Search" function does not work. It was showing some previous results but after I deleted them it shows empty folder. No keyboard windows pop-up to enter search word. I have tried removing and reinstalling add-on, but no luck. There was no add-on related error in the debug log. I have tried the line 769 fix, but no luck. Is there a fix for the "Search"?

A test account I set up without 2 factor auth logs in without a problem.

BTW, I notice that the debug logs include the plaintext password and login info, which have shown up in a number of the logs I've seen posted by people reporting similar issues while I researched this bug. I think the developers should probably rethink that approach if they want people to post complete logs.

Hi, we've tried very hard to remove passwords from the logs of later versions of the plugin, if you find any logs with such passwords in them from version 3.x of the plugin please pm me with the link to examples so we can see where the problem occours.

Code:
21:01:12 T:14820  NOTICE: [YouTube-3.3.0] _httpLogin : 'Captcha needs to be filled'

for people with 2 factor login this seems to be happening lately, theres no way we can defeate 2 factor login so we're considering removing support entirely. We might add application specific passwords instead but that would remove support for scraper based features like playback of 18+ videos and scraping user feeds that are only available on the homepage.

Hi Frodo IS NOT SUPPORTED YET, team xbmc recently decided to change alot of the api's that our different plugins rely on (downloader is completely broken as an example)

Short answer: no
Long answer: theres no room on the context menu.

Hi, I know youtube is currently changing the way users are named and integrating it with google+, i believe that this new integration is what's causing these problems. I've tried subscribing to the same user, and he doesn't appread in the xml feed provided by the youtube V2 api. Youtube recently introduced version 3 of their API which *might* fix some of these problems, but we're taking a wait and see approach before converting the plugin over to the new API.

Hi this seems to be an intermittent issue, im unsure of why this is happening, but i am investigating..
Greetings -

I have a problem - just started - ive read through many many posts but cant determine if my problem is part of an old post or if it has been fixed and it shoud work etc ...

Problem: enter youtube (all good)- when i play video from playlist (all good) - if i hit the C menu and do a play from here - i get script error ?

I just want to be able to play youtube videos in order ... without having to press play after every video - individual videos play fine

many thanks in advance ../

the dugan-

getting an error message when trying to shuffle and play a play list

http://pastebin.com/a8mtmWfz

Playing individual videos work fine.

Any ideas..
I'm not sure how to figure this one out. Started happening at the same point when I put a new SSD drive in the system AND the same time beta 1 came out (been using nightlies every few days forever anyhow)

Youtube video from the app and from others like Reddit, bestofyoutube, etc all have the "loading" dialog for a full 10 seconds before they attempt to play. Consistent across the board with this. Other streaming works just fine (Hulu plugin, Revision 3, Twit, etc).

That is by far the most annoying this. Second comes the inability to search which I am gathering is still broke?

Thanks for any guidance!
I just made my new HTPC with XBMCbuntu with Frodo Beta 1. Everything was fine until this afternoon when I upgraded to Beta 2 :-\

This sucks.
