Release [depricated] old YouTube Plugin - XBMC 13.0 Frodo/Gotham only
Very nice addon, but could you guys add search filter by duration (short,medium,long)

In YouTubeFeeds.py there is a line for search like this

urls['search'] = "http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos?q=%s&SafeSearch=%s"

and just change it to selected duration if filtered
urls['search'] = "http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos?q=%s&safeSearch=%s&duration=long&v=2"
kevenz Wrote:I have a playlist with 115 items but it seems the maximum on xbmc youtube is 100 items.

Mines capped at 50 and I have a 75 item subscription, any way to change this?
I have 2 xbmc systems up and they are both getting the same error when I try to view subscription videos. It does not happen when I go to "New Subscription Videos", only when I go to an "Activity Of: XXXX" selection. One box has XBMC 10.1 and the other (which this log is from) is on 11.0 . Please let me know if you need the other log. Thanks in advance.

same issue except i have a playlist that has 196 items and the first page of that playlist via the youtube plugin has 49 entry's, the second 37 and the third and last 31 (though the limit per page is set to 50).

so in my case only 117 of 196 video's are showing up Sad

which kinda blows cause the one's i really want to see are the one's i added last which are not accessible Sad
TobiasTheCommie Wrote:Thanks. And that is something new. It says "HTTP Error 403: Forbidden"

Honestly, i should already have checked for stuff like that, i'm a retard, sorry.

Well, there should be no inherent limitation in either XBMC or the YouTube plugin. But Google have been doing some really stupid stuff on some of their feeds, where it hides the next page of results.

I am not sure if that is what you are hitting, we will try to replicate.

Hi, i'm having the same difficulty with downloading videos via the youtube add-on. I've noticed in my log that it shows the extender is not supported. I've recently updated to xbmc eden beta 3, latest youtube add-on version. But the downloader wasn't working on the previous version of xbmc either....

here's my log http://pastebin.com/f9UW7Gcj
Sorry if this is posted before, I have searched and read much but can`t find a solution.

I can`t watch my subscription videos, I get an error message. No results. Like it is searching for it. But if I go into the "New Subscription Videos" it finds the new ones, but I can`t see the old one. And yes, I can see my subscriptions on YouTube.
Petter :-)
Many thanks for all the effort YOU all do! THANKS! :-)

Hello Guys,

i have short question regarding the youtube plugin while using a proxy. Since i'm from germany i bought me a us proxy account to access youtube. I want to use this account for sure on my XBMC too...and here we are going to the tricky part.

The proxy integration of XBMC is not usable - if i'm using it i just get a curl error 22. I only know, that this means that the client is just recieving invalid data.

Now i tried to set up a proxy behind XBMC with proxyfier(set up some rules to use my us proxy etc.)....which brings me a bit a further since i can now clearly see the network traffic.

I read in this thread, that you should use proxychains with youtube....but how to integrate them here (on windows, not linux). And how to handle all the servers of youtube?

Can u guys give me a hint how to get youtube running with proxys?

If you are having problems with Subscriptions then try this fix.

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=122245

It worked for me Smile
FYI, a quick update, we've just issued a pull request that should fix the listing of subscriptions and playlist (the over 50 items bug). I think that are other bugfixes in there but those are the ones that come to mind.

Full debug log please.

You should try without proxychains, try with Eden RC1, set the proxy in XBMC. If it still fails, try restarting xbmc(should not be needed in RC1, but was a problem earlier in the Eden branch).

I actually realized that it wasn't because i forgot to do something. It is because i turned something off(I needed to test stuff while it was still in Beta).

This issue should be fixed in the PR we have sent.
