Release [depricated] old YouTube Plugin - XBMC 13.0 Frodo/Gotham only
BurningSky Wrote:How can I activate RTMPE support, because some videos won't play?

RTMPE code has been entirely removed from the plugin in the add-on repository (sorry but this is due to the DMCA and xbmc being an organization under US law), however a the release found on the project home page doesn't have this problem (Note you will have to manually overwrite the existing plugin as install from zip won't work)

Then I guess using the automatic upgrade in XBMC will result in the RTMPE version will be overwritten when you release a new version?
easily taken care of by bumping the version in your rtmpe-enabled add-on to a really high version.
Tobias, i have followed your instructions and enabled debugging in the YouTube plugin options, and here is the new xbmc.log file completing the same action (basically attempting a login)

Please upgrade to dharma-beta 1, that should solve it.

yep, that seems to have sorted the problem out. logged in straight away after upgrading to the latest svn as of today (33324)

That seems like a horrible solution.
Hi guys.

Had a problem with some 4od stuff that uses libRTMP using the latest plugin. I regular watch a program on there called coach trip and i've had some sound streaming issues. I've submitted a bug log so you can have a look and see what the issue is. Some episodes have sound and some don't. I've checked them online through youtube and they play perfectly. Video on all aspects works as it should

is anyone looking into adding support for the Trailer portion of Youtube @ http://www.youtube.com/trailers Wink

Seeing as apple's movie trailers stopped working (or is so slow streaming = same thing) these days

Never even knew they had that, will look into it.

Alternative is giving it a different addon id.

Btw, we're still looking into the rtmpe issue.
