Currently no, it is infact quite cumbersome, but i have created a patch for XBMC that implements this feature it just needs review from some xbmc folks:

I Just tried this on my own machine, and it works almost perfectly the only thing thats missing is the video information from the video but otherwise everythings good Smile

(for good measure i've included the file i used to test with, just rename it from .strm.txt to .strm)

Yeah that's exactly what I want but probably with a shuffle parameter in there

shuffle parameter could probably be added Smile

but in any case it's up to the devs to judge if the code is fit to be added in xbmc.

At one point someone wanted to limit a search to only search for videos from a certain user (mostly the UK's 4oD user that uploads alot of tv shows), so its probably more correct to say "limit search to user" or something Smile

Basically this is alot more difficult/annoying than it should be, but we have submitted some patches for xbmc that should make it easier in the future (http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/10959).

Hi sregg, as far as i know theres no api for this but I'll look into if its possible to scrape the information from youtube.

Hi,

I am new to XBMC and python plugins. I was able to figure out how to call the Youtube plugin with the video id (page 33 of this thread). But when I do call the plugin I get the following error in the log.

I am passing this to the API [/CODE] http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/playlists/....[/CODE] to get the individual video ids and then calling the youtube plugin. I am hoping I can just call the plugin with the Playlistid. is that possible ? if so how? I did try changing the videoid to playlistid in the plugin call but I got an error.

any help on this is appreciated

I did a Search in the thread and didn't find any post about subtitles support in the Youtube Addon.

Is there any way to see youtube videos with subtitles (cc)?

Hi, I will look into this, but I'm kinda doubting its possible as i don't know what subtitle format YouTube uses or if XBMC will even allow me to add it. But anyways I will give it a look see Wink
