Something to do with your build of xbmc.
URLError : <urlopen error unknown url type: https

It appears that ssl is not supported.

Thanks. I updated to a nightly build and now it runs fine. Looks real good compared to whatever youtube plugin I was using in the past.

I am getting an error accessing a playlist after I have made changes to it directly in youtube. I set up the playlist initially without an issues, but afterwards if I delete items from it and then try to access the playlist I get this message:

playlist_root
No recent activity

The screen stays at the playlist menu and I am unable to view items in the playlist.

Your debug log seems to be missing a lot, i don't know why. It looks like it might be the same problem as vijayk416, but i'm not sure.

ok so I keep getting a login failed using 2.6.3 on my atv2 (nightly build Oct 28)

I set up 2 step verification on my google account. and then I generated my password for youtube but still cant get it to log in.

Is this plugin still having problems with logging in to youtube? I really miss youtube especially at parties etc.. since I have to get the old ipod out instead (yuk).

Same situation here. Latest XBMC, 2step authentication in GOOGLE, created an application password but no luck entering in in YouTube plugin

Definitely not empty. Not sure what is going on but this is not reproducible with other playlists I create so I guess you can disregard this for now. Sorry and thanks.

Sorry, login is broken in 2.6.3.

You can either:
1) Downgrade to 2.1.2
2) Apply the fix that was posted a few pages back - http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=917...count=1426
3) Wait for the 2.7.0 beta

Application specific password should NOT be used for the plugin.
