Audio Stream Issue - Acer Revo/Sony Bravia
#1
I am trying to play the follow audio stream through my XBMC:

http://resources.triplem.com.au/listenfe...stream.asx

I am running XBMC Live on an Acer Revo.

I have created an STRM file with the following:

mms://66.70.119.243/3mmm

I can run the strm file from XBMC but my TV (Sony Bravia) produces an error message - "unsupported signal - check your device"

The Revo is connected to my Bravia via HDMI.

Any ideas what this might be?

This may not be the proper solution, but I have gotten that error on my Bravia and correct it in all cases when I enabled System->Video->Playback menu set to "Sync with Display" and the other Sync option above it.

It doesnt appear to help.

Perhaps because this is an audio only stream?

my best guess is that xbmc tries to bitstream this wma stream to the bravia which it can't handle

transcoding ("downmixing") to PCM is necessary
OpenElec Standalone --> Asus Chromebox 'Panther' --> Onkyo TX-NR709 --> Sony 55" X85C Android TV (also with Kodi!)
Asus Chromebox EZ Script
Kodi on Sony Bravia Android TVs
