Help! Can't get xbmc audio working 100%
#1
Hi guys

I've been using xbmc for about 2.5 years and in that time I've tried all kinds of thing to get the audio working 100%

Most of the info about my alsa set up can be found in this alsa info file
http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=385704...c1e250fc47

my audio is connected via spdif on the mother board to my onkyo 607 surround sound amp

An xbmc log file can be found here:

Current problem is that when i play music it will play the first song and then say failed to initialise audio device when it plays the second. videos play fine with and without passthrough.

I'd really like this to work for the party i'm having tommorrow night...Sad

Any more info required let me know....

Your right, this allows me to play consecutive songs. But is it possible to get crossfading to work?

see this from the other thread I linked

OwlBoy Wrote:As far as I know this has never worked. Due to the way audio is processed and sent to the HDMI. It can not send two streams at once. (by default)
