[linux] Crash on refresh change (dharma beta1, lucid)
#1
Every time I start a 24fps movie and XBMC changes the refresh rate automatically to 24p it has to crash. The refresh rate then stays at 24p, I can run XBMC again and start the movie just fine because it no longer needs to change the refresh rate.

* Linux distribution: Ubuntu 10.04
* Architecture: x86_64
* NVIDIA drivers: 256.35
* uname -a: Linux xbmcbuntu 2.6.32-21-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 16 08:09:38 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux
* Installed method: SVN PPA, clean install.
* SVN: 33324
* Skin: Confluence
* Hardware specs: ZOTAC ION-A-U

Crashlog: http://pastebin.com/6c8pQrC0

Any help is appreciated Smile

Me too, on
Dharma 10.1 (Sam's image)

Sometimes work, but most none.

Anyone else on ATV?

Me too with pretty much every version I have crashing which seems to occur after changing refresh rates and especially when audio stream is truehd - but since it is not always I do really know if these conditions are related. Often the crash is claimed to be due to corrupt double linked list. Not sure how to debug it especially since the stack trace is different every time (probably because multiple threads and only one stack shown).

Anyone know why the stack trace section might be empty in the crashlog, and no core dump generated despite no ulmits on core generation.

It looks like there is a bug with vdpau and adjust refresh change. See this thread. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?p=7...post772659

Someone said in other thread that latest CUDA-dev driver fixes problem.

http://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-toolkit-40#Linux

Edit: Didn't help.
