Music Visualizations

Hello people!

I have a xbox with xbmc installed (of course) and I like so much of the visualizations that came in it. They change constantly, to various kinds of patterns and to really awesome little skulls that "sing" the music! I have a HTPC with a svn version instaled and it doesn't have all that visualizations...

What happenned? In Dharma, there are more visualization options? Do they also need to be converted to Dharma? Can I copy them from my xbox to my HTPC?

The visualizers and screensavers are created using the draw API for that system so no you can't just copy them over.

XBOX uses a modified DirectX 8.1 api while your htpc uses opengl (linux) or directx 9 (windows). To make them work on another platform they need to be converted to the API used by that platform. This can be a quite difficult task depending on the code in question.
Current project Plane9 a 3d music visualizer/sound responsive screensaver. Author of the planestate, matrix trails, asteroids and ping pong xbmc screensavers.
