can i get some help with the ip address in xbmclive

this is what i done i setup my xbmclive on a asrock 330ht all working great
so i backedup the HDD to a new asrock 330ht but when my mate plugs it in to hes network it cant find anything as the ip is set to my network

is there a way to change the ip on xbmclive

he needs to switch to a terminal and do the stuff that is written in ubuntu guides

as Hannes said, he needs to be on a terminal (try pressing ctrl + alt + F1/F2 at the same time) and then as a root issue these two commands:

# cat /etc/network/interfaces

Edit the file interfaces according to the current network configuration. cheers!!
