can anybody tell me if i besides decoding hd content, a broadcom crystal hd addon card can deinterlace sd content with good quality in xbmc ?

im going to buy a nvidia 210 gt for decoding, but if a crystal hd card can do what a nvidia 210 can (and do it maybe better), i might buy one of those addon cards

I know i could alse send audio over hdmi with the graphics card, but i doubt i'd be using that since im using a 23 inc 1920x1080 lcd monitor

any input on the subject ?

No, CrystalHD is being used for HD content and any de-interlacing is handled by line-doubling. Most SD interlaced content is mpeg2 from DVDs, for that libmpeg2 handles it.
