Great work. I would second SSL support.

Also, I seem to be getting crashes on every barcode scan I do - none seem to work. Manual searches work fine though.

Quote:- many movies came back as 'public'. Sometimes, grabbing the blu-ray box instead of DVD box, or vice versa, would fix this. I realize its likely not the developers fault. Oh well, easy enough to type in the title.
You wouldn't happen to have the barcodes for those movies, would you? I can add some logic in the upc lookup.

Quote:- The add button has no feedback, kind of annoying. If it could do anything at all, it would really help
I agree. I'll have to do thinking for a work around.

Quote:- Would be nice to have a screen where I can see what movies I have added, like a mobile interface for couch potato.

Maybe I can scrape CouchPotato's page? Man I wish they'd implement an API. Big Grin

Quote:- I also would love some kind of mobile app for sickbeard. Lots of shows take breaks once in awhile, so it would be nice to have a screen showing 'whats on tonight' kind of thing. And of course be able to add new shows etc.

Maybe I'll look into it sometime in the future. Wink

Do you have the option for this in settings? Does it not work?

At what point does it crash? Do you have the barcode scanner app installed? Any change of sending me your logs (from ADB or Log Collector)?

It scans, goes to sending results, then crashes. Yeah, I had Barcode Scanner installed prior to installing MobleCouch. I can pull the crash log from ADB on Tuesday (just use logcat I presume?).

Let me get this straight.

I can scan the barcode of a dvd whilst im out shopping, and it adds it to my couch potato list, thus setting it to download, rename and move it into my Movies folder, then XBMC will scrape it into the libary, and all I have to do when i get home is sit on my ass and enjoy the movie?

You, sir, are amazing.

My life is now complete.

I tried the barcode scanning but it doesn't work for me. It doesn't crash but it never finds the movie. I think because because the scrapper goes to a site that doesn't have codes from my country/region.

Wow, this application is kick ass! In my limited testing, it seems to work great.

One feature that would be nice is the ability to do a force check within the app to get downloads started right away.

Just a thought...

Adam B,

You made that version with https for me a while back and I wanted to say thanks. I got it working but, I had to do a couple of things because I think there is a typo somewhere. When it sends a request to my web server for the "imdbAdd" page it is adding a ":" to the end of the "Hostname or IP Address" field.

Normally this would be ok but, I am running it through a reverse proxy so I have to put "mydomain.net/couchpotato" in the hostname field. Because I do this, it sends a request to "https:/mydomain.net/couchpotato:"(notice the colon location).

I have worked around this by creating two reverse proxy entries; one for "/couchpotato" and one for "/couchpotato:".

I don't know if you are still developing this or not but, thanks again for the app.

Any chance you can share the https version?
Since i only have https access allowed outside of my LAN.

I would like to hold off and get the OK from Adam. As this is not my app and he made it for me/testing, I wouldn't feel comfortable.

If he gives the OK or I find out that he is no longer supporting it, I will shoot it your way.

I hope you understand.

No, not yet. I will send him another email. If he is not interested in maintaining it, I will see if he will let me give it a try. Right now, I only see one thing that needs to be fixed and that is the ":".

If you are just running it through a reverse proxy, you shouldn't need it. If you have ssl setup on your reverse proxy server then you will.
