I've got a system with this specs:
- Asus M2A-VM HDMI
- AMD BE-2350 2.10GHz
- 2Gb RAM
- ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro > connected to Full HD LG TV via VGA cable

I previous had XBMC running on Windows 7 and could watch 1080p movies with no problems at all...

Now i've installed Ubuntu 10.10 + last XBMC version and I just can't watch 1080 files and the others are also very slow to render. Tried alll type of render in settings and also both open source and proprietary drivers (better results with the last ones).

Anyway to have hardware acceleration on Ubuntu with this graphic card?
If not, what graphic card (PCI Express) do you recommend that is proven to work OK in Linux and does hardware acceleration.

This is quite urgent because all my collection is HD content and I'm now stuck with no media center at all.
