Rather "éáőúűóí" (Hungarian letters). But if any non-English characters can be found in the text to be displayed, it fails. I will check whetrher they are displayed correctly by XBMC. I'm using the iMON VFD.
Quote:What do you mean by that?
If I select "Movies" ("Filmek" in my native language), it is shown correctly. Then I select "Pictures" ("Képek"), which contains a vowel with accent and it stucks at "Movies" ("Filmek") because of this. I suppose it would be fine if I set the language to English, but this HTPC is used by my parents, so this is not an option.
Quote:Yeah that's because both Control Mode and displaying the currently playing item are active in parallel and it needs a timeout to define when displaying the currently playing item takes over from Control Mode.
Is it possible to set this timeout to a shorter value by the user?
Quote:Hm works fine for me but it sounds to me like you have the VFD which does not support scrolling.
It does, WMC and XBMC both scrolls the file names if they are longer than 16 chars. RSS (by FrontView) also do the same.
