Video Stutter only in Live TV

Using either the built in LiveTV function (myth:user:password@ipaddress) or Mythbox my Windows XP machine (xbmc beta 3 & 4) stutters badly even on SD material after 10 seconds and appears to be a buffering issue. Pausing livetv does not fix the issue. All video library files play fine including HD content. Using the SiliconDust player I can watch HD streams just fine outside of XBMC. All media and tuners are located on my Mythbuntu 10.04 server.

While playing SD material on the XP box in LiveTV the network bandwidth runs about 5%, CPU usage 10%, and vcpu was showing about 4%. XBMC running on the linux box works great for all sources so the only issue is streaming from the Linux box to the XP box. Network is 100mbit wired.

I looked all through the XBMC setup and guisettings.xml and did not find a buffer setting. Since the HDHomerun streams fine I would think there's not an issue with my general network settings or that would stutter too. The ATI 4650 video card can be ruled out because I can play HD files and HDHomerun streams just fine. It's not the CPU because it's only using 10% and it shouldn't be a bandwidth issue. I did spend about an hour searching for previous solution but didn't see any that were just related to live tv. Log file shows a lot of warnings for buffer underuns.

Use MythTV for recording TV? Try the integrated MythTV support in XBMC Media Center. Now with commercial skip support built-in and integration with the Movie database!

Running TVHeadend on a server using a FireDTV and a PVR-150 and also experience image stutter after about 5 minutes (audio starts to stutter later). This happens on both tuners (Digital and Analog), with and without vdpau.

Stopping (x) and reconnecting to the channel seems to reset it, as does switching channels.

Switching the frequency on the server using "ivtv-tune -f 768" does not solve the problem and it continues to stutter on the other channel/frequency. The frequency change takes longer than normal, probably the buffer that causes that.

Please let me know which logs you want.
