[LIVE] Dharma XBMC Beta4 H264 vdpau 7fps
#1
hi

Just got a acer revo r3610 & booted xbmc live Dharma b4 & im getting only 7fps on h264 (1440x1080) !! osd show's that im using vdpau (dc:ff-h264_vdpau-vdpau) cpu0:3.9 cpu1:1.4 cpu2:0 cpu3:3.0

Tried a normal mpeg2 (720x576) & vdpau is working great 25fp & no more than 9% on any cpu.

I tried ubuntu before live & enabling vdpau on ubuntu is a bit of a nightmare hence why i went for live to test. & yes vdpau is enabled in video settings.

Total linux noob

Any help would be great

thanks

It seems like something is wrong with the file, or there's a bug somewhere in the code.

I have a similar problem. My log is as following:
http://pastebin.com/W29HzUMT

one of to things happens

1. the screen freezes for a split sec. and lost of miscolored pixels starts flickring around the screen also in the menues:

2. The fps drops to 1 fps

it only happens when streaming movies from my network, if I copy the file to the XBMC, there isn't any problem.

If I disable "web contol" it takes longer, before the error occure.

I have the problem with 720p and 1080p movies.

PS. my setup is:
Shuttle XS35GT (ION2)
2 GB Kingston ram (KVR800D2S6/2G)
64 GB SSD Kingston (SNV425-S2/64GB)
Samsung DVD-RW (SN-S083)
I'v tryed Dharme 3, Dharme 4 and openELEC

PPS. I also connected a westerndigital mediaplayer to the same TV with the same cables, and it hasn't any problems.
