Followed Mexicankings guide and still encountered the same problem after changing my wireless card from Ralink to the intel and followed installation as per Fishoils guide. Drivers for the card were in the XBMC Live install but the exact same end result was got.
No DHCPOFFERS recieved
No working leases in persistant database - Sleeping
In the end, got wireless bridges and they worked a treat, thanks Fishoil for your time and patience, I really tried my best as a neebie to Linux, and I learnt a load from it but it just refused to work.
Just wanted people who happen upon this thread with the same problem as I had and be presented with the possible outcomes.
These were my solution and worth every penny in terms of saving your sanity and time and work straight out the box.
