[CLOSED] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC
Btw i stumbled upon this thread [url=http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=252]. Witch said how to boot psx iso files that are compressed as 7z. Well I set it up the same way it was described but I'm getting an error massage that says that the psx bios wasn't found even though its in the bios folder and I can launch uncompressed games from through AL.

It is not sufficient to put the PSX BIOS file into it's folder. You also need to assign this BIOS file into EPSXE settings : http://www.gwenael.org/xbmc/index.php?ti...figuration

Hi All, From time to time, more often than not anymore, the Pandora addon has gone south. I've started using Advanced Launcher to launch my desktop Pandora app. It works great. Launches Pandora, then when I close Pandora I'm back to XBMC.

I can't seen to figure out how to close my desktop Pandora app using my remote. I know my desktop is still "listening" to the remote in desktop mode because if the screen saver is running it will stop with a remote press.

Any ideas how to close an app with the remote? This is a Windows install.

TIA,

Dave

There is 2 way to proceed :
  • You can try to found the combination keys used by Pandora to be closed and assign this combination to one button of your remote. You can do this with EventGhost or PC Remote Control software for example.
  • Or you can try to found the combination keys used by one specific button on your remote (STOP button for example), and configure Pandora to use this combination key to close (if it is possible). You can found the key combination using KeyMapper software for example.
Windows XBMC community mostly use EventGhost method.

I am having trouble getting Advanced Launcher to run Stella. I have been able to successfully setup several other emulators, assign correct agruements, etc....but for Stella once I set everything up and point Advanched Launcher to the program, tell it where the roms are...when I click on Atari 2600 (which is what I named the launcher) it just doesn't show any games.

I am running XBMC Eden on a Windows 7 machine. Any help is appreciated.

Ok, so I am little embarrassed because it had just been a while since I had set up a launcher and I just forgot the kinda important part of scanning for the roms. Ooops.

Ok so now when I click on one of the roms it actually just opens the Stella program and then I have to choose which rom I want to play again. Doesn't make sense to me...also the argument - fullscreen 1 "%rom%" doesn't seem to open it up into fullscreen.

Thanks in advance.

Which version of Stella are you using? Because -fullscreen 1 "%rom%" (without a space between - and fullscreen) is the right command line to start ROM into fullscreen mode with last version of Stella : http://stella.sourceforge.net/docs/index...ommandLine

Thanks for the info...it was the space in between the - and fullscreen that was messing it up. Once I fixed that and restarted XBMC everything seems to be working fine now. It's always the small things...appreciate the help.
Hi guys, is there a way to launch Firefox, IE, or Chrome in full screen from within XBMC installed on an ATV2? I want to watch these channels (http://www.youweb.tv) on my TV and I've heard that some folks have successfully been able to launch and play theses channels!!! Thank You!

Guys, can someone please confirm if this is possible, and if so, how? Again I'm trying to do this on ATV2 not windows...I've managed to add the firefox.exe (launcher), but every time I click on it, the screen flickers as if it tries to launch something, but nothing happens!!! Thank You!
so ATV2s run firefox for windows? as far as I know that's impossible
Thanks for putting this to rest!
Just wanted to give an update on the Aeon MQ4 and game info not displaying issue:

Marcos is updating the skin next weekend, and in his changelog he mentioned improving advanced launcher support, so keep your fingers crossed Big Grin
Just started trying to use Advanced Launcher. I am running the Frodo nightly from 10/17/12. Trying to set up a simple command to start WMC from XBMC. When I run the script I get the addon failed: python.py. Unfortunately http://www.gwenael.org seems to be down right now so I can't search or post there. I realize that the error is probably because of all the changes in the nightly and that Advanced Launcher does not really support Frodo yet. Never the less, I thought I would post the log here anyway.

Thank phmt. Seems that XBMC devellopers have finally removed the HTTP API support from XBMC Frodo. The xbmc.executehttpapi("Action(199)") was used by the Toogle Fullscreen option of Advanced Launcher. Put this option to false and it will normally avoid the problem. On my way, I will start to think to a way to fix that. Thank you for the feedback.
