magicka and forced do not work. I am using xbmc 12.3 frodo and transparency skin.

Ok... So... According to your launcher.xml file, Street Fighter IV, Magicka and Forced are exactly started the same way (same launcher). Your problem is not related to an Advanced Launcher bug. Have you try to start each .lnk manually (by clicking on them) from Windows? Does they start all correctly? If not try to found why. If they all start correctly, then that's mean that there is a problem when they are started from XBMC/Advanced Lancher. So :

Have you activated the Use a fullscreen window option rather than the true fullscreen option that is present into XBMC video system settings?
Have you try to put the Toggle XBMC into Window Mode option into the launcher advanced modification menu to OFF?olve your
Have you try to put the Shortcuts (.lnk) support option into the launcher advanced modification menu to ON?

Normally, Use a fullscreen window + Toggle XBMC into Window Mode OFF + Shortcuts (.lnk) support ON must be the good combo. But I think that switching to the use a fullscreen window option will fix your problem.

All games work in windows without xbmc. tried full screen window, xbmc window mode off and shortcuts support on. Did not work. Is there a way to full uninstall advanced launcher with everything erased? I hope that maybe a full reinstall will fix it?

edit: I upgraded from frodo 12.2 to 12.3, too. Maybe this may also be a culprit?

I can't seem to be able to download the ZIP Repo or even the direct download link. They both seem to be down. Can anyone post it for download?

To uninstall completely remove Advanced Launcher you need to uninstall it first from XBMC add-ons menus. Then you need to delete the xbmc/userdata/addon_data/plugin.program.advanced.launcher directory. But honestly, it will not change anything. The problem is not between Advanced Launcher and the started games, the problem is between XBMC and the started games. The fact that you have upgrade to version 12.3 of XBMC could be a reason. It seems that Street fighter IV could be started from XBMC but not Forced or Magicka. This probably due to resources sharing incompatibilities (graphic, video, audio) between XBMC and the started games. As the version 12.3 of XBMC bring some audio modifications and that generate a lot5 of problem for users, maybe you could take a look at this. The other way I see for you to bypass this is to use a .bat script that will close XBMC before starting your games : http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=6

Links on the first post of this thread (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...#pid647642) are working correctly for me. Maybe a temporary access problem to the files. Do you still not able to download them?

Looks interesting! I'll have to give it a try when I can find some time... I use Advanced Launcher (sooooo awesome Angelscry, thank you!) to launch emulated and Steam games, which I've got working well with .bat files which just shut down XBMC and relaunch it after the gaming session. But I also use AL to launch Windows Media Center's Netflix plugin, and recently the Netflix plugin has been loosing focus to XBMC after I select a show to watch, requiring me to fight with Alt-Tab to get the Netflix show back on top... I don't know if this is a result of the new Frodo 12.3 I'm using or what. I've fiddled with XBMC and AL settings and been a little frustrated. Maybe this is a solution? But regardless of whether I can make it work for me, thanks for posting it!

I can't install Advanced Launcher on latest Gotham nightly. It says that dependencies are not met. I have tried both with the repo and manual install of the zip file.

Same version of Advanced Launcher can't works on both Frodo and Gotham versions of XBMC. Actual stable version of XBMC is Frodo. So actual support of Advanced Launcher is on Frodo. If you are using a developpement version of XBMC, so it suppose that you have the enough knowledge to install an add-on by bypassing the dependencies limitation.

So, after the most recent update, not only did I lose my launchers, but now when I start them from the main menu (using a favorite), rather than just starting, it goes to a blank media page, then starts.

Sorry, jumped the gun. I'm running the netflix WMC program from a launcher. It worked VERY well before this update. I created a launcher, added it to favorites, then added the favorite to my main menu. When I would select it from the main menu, it would just bring up the notification that it was opening the stream, and then Netflix would open. I would exit Netflix, and I would be greeted with a closing stream notification, followed by the XBMC main menu.

Now, when I select the favorite from the main menu, it goes to a screen where it shows what looks like a movie with no metadata, then it starts Netflix. When i close Netflix, I'm greeted with the media with no data page, and I have to press an extra button to get back to the main menu.

This is not really an issue for me. I can deal with it, but the Wife Acceptance Factor has gone down considerably.

I hope this all makes sense. Please help!

Hi all,

I installed Advanced launcher with a zip source an old release (1.13) (mistake).
After the automatic update to Advanced Launcher 2.2 i have this error message:
Echec du script addon.py
So i can't access to the application.
If i re-install the old version everything work.

I s anyone can help me?

Could you please post here the content of your xbmc/userdata/favourites.xml file, to see how your Advanced Launcher's favourite is started?

Version 2.2.3 : This new version of Advanced Launcher fix a problem with Sega Genesis 32X games scrapping. Games data from this platform were previously assigned by mistake to the Sega Genesis CDX plaform for certain scraper sources. It is now fixed.Thanks to uberunit for the feedback.

Sorry for the late reply. I can't get to the XML file currently (wife watching netflix). However, I did see that the it uses ActivateWindow, rather than PlayMedia, to launch the favorite. Does that help?
