I'm having difficulty using AL to launch a game in python. Specifically, the FoFiX branch of Frets on Fire doesn't currently have a linux binary (nor can you easily build one with the current source code). As a result, they suggest you run it from source, by executing
Code:python fofix.py
I can't seem to launch this from XBMC, however. I have a desktop icon (in Ubuntu 10.04) that links to a script, but I can't use that script in XBMC using AL. Might there be an issue using python like this from within XBMC?
- Make your python script executable using chmod +x command line or directly from the option into nautilus.
- If your script is executable you can normally directly start it like this : script_path/fofix.py (no need to indicate the python executable file into the command line).
- Now... if it is not working... maybe you could also try to start it from a .sh bash script.
