Hi,
I'm using the the xbmc svn repo and upgraded to RC1 yesterday. When I boot the computer I just get an xterm window. I can just write xbmc-standalone and XBMC works just fine, but does anyone know how I can boot straight into XBMC?
I'm on Ubuntu 10.10, minimal install.

If your on ubuntu minimal you have probably done something wrong. i.e. XBMC on its own has no way of autostarting you need to add that and it is as such outside our hands.
Easiest way to do this however is to use xbmc live script but as stated, if you have troubles with it your on your own we only support it in our package (i.e. xbmc live distro)

Thanks for the reply.
For anyone interested I managed to fix it. I just edited /usr/bin/startx and changed
defaultclient=/usr/bin/xterm
to
defaultclient=/usr/bin/xbmc-standalone
