Why do people always want so much more ram? On my AMD E-350 system using XBMC in Windows 7, I see no difference in performance between using 1gb and 2gb of ram. I think 2 gb is the ideal amount. 4gb is just a waste of money and electricity.

Sure, while 2GB is plenty for 32bit Win 7 running regular apps, if your running 64bit Win 7 with aggressive apps you could benefit better performance with 4GB. I have not been able to find any listing of tested 4GB chip for the XS35GT.

I'm using 2gb DDR2 Crucial ram and my XS35GT runs dandy on openelec. It also does well on win7, but only subpar on winxp. Only on winxp just to play some games not fully supported in win7 (win7 bug that was supposedly fixed but still there).
