[RELEASE] XBMC Flicks - Netflix Movies / TV Shows (Video) experimental Addon for XBMC
(2012-10-14, 18:34)dordar Wrote: Hi all.

Im experiencing that when I press alt+f4 when netflix is loaded it closes and then opens again. This continues on loop untill I use ctrl+alt+del to close xbmc.exe.

Playercore:
<playercorefactory>
<players>
<player name="IE" type="ExternalPlayer">
<filename>C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe</filename>
<args>-k "{1}"</args>
<hidexbmc>false</hidexbmc>
<hideconsole>false</hideconsole>
<warpcursor>none</warpcursor>
</player>
</players>

<rules action="prepend">
<rule name="html" filetypes="html" player="IE" />
</rules>
</playercorefactory>

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Anyone?

How did you get it to work in sweden? i can´t get it to work

I just installed the add-on on my HTPC, logged in, re-started XBMC and entered it again. Not all categories work, but most do and does so pretty well. Did not get search to work very well though
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

i got that working too, but could be nice if it only showed the movies/tvshows and categories that were available for us here in scandinavia and also a search engine that worked better for us Smile

Are there any plans to be able to watch videos from within XBMC, instead of using the browser in the future?

It's not picking up your playercorefactory settings change that tells it to use iexplorer
Browsing, queue changes and metadata are done in xbmc, actual item playback links out to IE (or firefox if configured to do so) using the external player option as it's using silverlight under your browser to playback the file.

Like opening a browser window to view the netflix page as shown in the wiki thread

(note I'm using .html and not .htm for the files it's linking to)

All the categories etc ate empty, only "top 25 " seems to work.

I am trying to use the newest version of plugin (1.0.22?) with xbmc 11.0 on win 7

From canada, every combination of "in canada" setting and unblock-us (setting off, no unblockus)(setting on , no unblockus) (setting off,unblockus)(setting on, unblockus). no diffference in behavious

I see this in the log ;
NOTICE: CRITICAL ERROR: Unable to parse ID of item. Stopping parse...

I checked the code in iqueue.py and noticed there are several regex's it tries to match that it comes no where near to, here is more from the log

What's the status of this plugin in the official repo?

I couldn't find it in the official repo in Eden.
And have also tried to unzip the files in the addons-directory and restart XBMC without it's installed.

This is answered in posts 1 and 2, and further detailed in the FAQ, mentioned in post 1.

Known issues. Fixes from PatDavid start on page 100.

Edit reason: Removed enormous quote and expired link.

Really sorry for not going through the entire 108 pages.....but I'm in Canada, but use a DNS to fool that I'm in US even though my netflix account is a canadian account. This is to access US content, and works great in chrome on my HTPC.

My problem as many have stated is that all instant que menu items do not load a single title. I have not checked the add on setting to state i have a canadian account...maybe it's that.

The latest releases does populate.

Please help...thank you

Everything seems to work for my except any category that begins with "instant".

Recommend, Top25, Searching all works.

Did Netflix change their instant queue API or something recently?

But to not even read the post before yours...
A little effort.

Look two posts before yours. It cites the issue and points to the fixes.

um....."start" on page 100....geeze.

General forum etiquette is to first read as much as you can, then search, and then ask if someone can point you in the right direction, and while starting at page 100 points in the right direction I dont have time sift and try and sift and try, code then re code etc.... I was more looking for a quick fix to be honest....

I guess there isnt one, as it would most likely be implemented in an update.
