Hey! I got a problem and need some info from regarding the possible resolution on the atv.
I can only select 720p (and 1280x800) or 1080p all other between those won't work or better they do but result in a 1080p resolution (though something else is displayed in xbmc). So is this intentional or a bug?
And a second strange thing. When selecting 1080p my TV will display xbmc just fine but when routing the HDMI signal through a AV receiver (Denon 1611) won't pick up the signal and is trying to switch between resolutions. Also no audio is being received by the Denon via HDMI. But when I switch to 720p everything works jsut fine.
So my guess is that there is something wrong with the hdmi.signal transmitted from the ATV. Maybe this is due to the lack of really changing the resolution.
Anyone got an idea? Can you select for example 1440x900?

Have anyone tried to install Airplay on Sams image?
I have some problem to install python2.6 and python-pip on Ubuntu hardy.

I have a similar problem; in the office, hooked up to a 1920x1080 LCD monitor, I get perfect 1920x1080 output from the ATV running Sam's image. In the living room, on a 1920x1080-capable TV (have had several HTPCs connected successfully in the past) XBMC will only allow me to choose resolutions of 1280x720 and lower. I do have the CHD installed properly, as everything works well on the computer monitor.
Any suggestions? Hope this is an ok topic for this thread, it would really help if we had an ATV1 sub-forum so that issues aren't randomly spread across threads...

This seemed to solve the python-2.6 install but I still can't get python-pip installed. Anybody have any luck getting Airplay installed on Sam's image?
