I use xbmc Dharma recently on a apple tv, befor the dharma release i got no probs but now i don't see any dvd cover or fanart in file modus. Al mij movies are streamed from a smb and the structure is Filmname -> Video_TS and AUDIO_TS. When i keep hold the menu button then i see the cover and fanart but not in the list where i see al my movies.

Anyone has a suggestion.

While in file view, left arrow to open the menu on left side and see if the "stack" is activated. If it is not, activating it should/could load up your cover and fanart.
