Stuff:
Zotac Mag -> optical -> DAC -> Aplifier.
I set up Digital output in Ubuntu. And using Rythmbox (i forgot name of default multimedia player in gnome) and it works fine.
Frankly speaking, as I set up Analog output in Ubuntu it works as well with optical (SIC!).
So i use XBMC Standalone (startup application) and as I use Digital (NOT HDMI) output in setting (despite it is Intel source or own) I dont hear sound in movies and information is that sound is not initialized.
Visualization in background shows like there is music.
As i change to Analog source i hear sound in movies and everything is OK.
But why analog working as i have optical which is default digital connection??

Any idea? Do i have digital signal at all?

Regards.

Well, i checked twice.
Im not enough detailed maybe.
My DAC takes signal from optical and shows 44.1 kHz. It means signal is sending.
And it goes to analog stereo amplifier. It always works this way.
So if I want to have sound (music or movie) i setting up optical/coax (in my language version is called: digital) in settings.
But it works only with music. Not movies.
To have sound in movies i have to set up analog output.
And i have sound. But it is optical only connection. Is it correct?
Why setting up optical/coax during watching movies i have no sound?
