ION330 Kernel Panic or BSOD - Please help...
#1
Hi Guys,

Got my ION330 HT-BD and installed Ubuntu 10.10.

After that I installed XBMC (The wiki way), worked fine.

Tryed to Install a new Nvidia driver with a code I prompted in the terminal, the screen went black and nother further happend..I had to pull the power plug in the end.

When I putted it back and powered it on it didn't boot Ubunty, got allot of 1's and 0's and a message that said "Kernel Panic"

When I try to Install Windows 7 64-but it will boot and loads the first files, when it starts installing I get a BSOD.

Did Memtest with the XBMC Live disc, everything is red and there are millions of errors.....

Tryed a different HDD but that didn't work but did I maybe brick my Internal DDR2-800Mhz memory banks when I pulled the power plug?

What do you guys think..or can I throw my brand new ION330 in the trash can?

Hardware Failure. You say it's brand new, so get a warranty replacement.
Asus AT5IONT-I in an A+ CUPID-3 + 2TB Seagate LP + 16GB SSD + Ubuntu + Samba + XBMC

Well if memtest gives errors, I'd try other memory.
