Really could use help, W7, XBMC and LG Infinia 47LE8500

Ok, I have a Dell XPS running windows 7 pro and a quad core desktop, windows 7 pro also and I can get XBMC to share between when I run media player on either machine. But, my LG tv sees the server but when selected it reports failure to connect to server. Has anyone made this tv combo work?

One other issue I have is that I would like to scrape all of the episodes of a TV show and add them to my library in one shot, is that possible?

I am very new to XBMC, but have used TVersity and Twonky for a good while. I am not sure that scrape is the right term to use. I have spent a fair amount of time on this site digging for info, but I think terminology is getting in my way.

I have found many plugins that get a lot of the sources that I want, just really do not want to add them one at a time. Especially all the Star Treks!

Thanks Matt

I don't totally understand your scraping issue, but I'll try to give the answer you need.

My Tv shows are set up in TVShowFolder/TVShowName/Season1/Episode.avi
You add TVShowFolder to XBMC Source and it does all the shows and episodes...

As for the TV, you better send it to me so I can take a look at it...
Is it suppose to see DLNA shares or something? did you enable UNPnP and all options in XBMC?

Very new to XBMC, and really confused. I would like to add all the episodes and seasons of Star Trek Enterprise to my library, I found them on CBS and can watch them one at a time in XBMC. Is there a way to add them all automatically to the library? I am sure that I will want to do this for other shows as well and really need to figure this one out.

I am not a computer novice by any stretch, but just do not get the inner workings of XBMC.

Thanks Matt

I got ted working, but I have found several shows with all episodes in the XBMC movie browser. These do not show up in TED, for example Star Trek: Enterprise which shows up on CBS in XBMC. How do I get those and add them to my library? I could not find these at all in TED.

1. What is TED?
2. Are you using a plugin in XBMC or do you have these shows downloaded already?
3. Are you are trying to download TV shows from CBS?

I don't believe there is a way to add a shortcut in your library directly to a tv show online or in plugin...
Please explain your situation a little more.Huh

1. TED is a torrent locator for TV shows, seems to work ok.

2. I am using a plugin, I have not found a way to download them per se.

3. Not exactly, I added the CBS plugin to the video section and under it there is a section called Classic TV Show and there are several shows that I would like to add all episodes to my library locally. It seems that I can maybe do them one at a time, but I cannot find the files so I assume that it is making a link in a database to the location of the show.

I am on the edge of building a solid HTPC, but I would really like to make this work. It will make the difference between a local media server and something with more useful content than just my DVD collection.

I am a 20 veteran network specialist with a Big Ten univ. Networking is second nature for me, but this damn program is just kickin' my butt! I know it can be so useful, I just can seem to unlock the secrets. No

Thanks Matt
