hi, I'm the guy who wrote fantasti.cc I've tried the plugin and i think it's a nice start. we are currently working on a new version of the site, so if said plugin is mainly based on html parsing it's going to be broken some day in the near future (haven't see the source of it yet), anyway, I'd like to help you with a cool API, so if you can collect some ideas here I will work on it on my spare time.

btw. have you got any higher-res art (non-explicit) that we could use for the plugin icon and backdrop?

the plugin is entirely html based, so in that case it probably will break.

an API will be highly awesome and save you a lot of bandwidth, and us a lot of scraper maintenance.


my suggestions for the API are pretty mundane actually:

a way to login (that also returns the url to the users avatar), search function, access to the nice lists of popular/rated etc vids/collections, access to the user's favourite/commented etc vids/collections, support for vids and pics, interacting with favourites (ie add to favourites, remove from favourites), all the lists of vids containing the thumbnail urls.

also, the way xbmc works is that it will view whole bunches of images in go (as a slideshow maybe), rather than the 'list and select' (for want of a better term) way users do on the site.


BTW, we can put in a pop-up for the first time the addon is installed that notifies about how to donate to fantasti.cc

Looks like there is no python library named "Image" on ATV2? No idea why that would be.

Hey, nice plugin. I didn't even know this site existed before I noticed your post. Quick question, is there anyway to add vids to xbmc's Favorites to watch later? Currently seems like I can add them but they wont play

in the last 2 weeks, more and more videos were throwing Script Failed error, although there are still some video that works.

After retrieving the url from xmbc.log and paste into browser(Chrome in my case), it can play.

hey rivendell, i'm not sure about that. Ksosez is the guy who made the vid link scrapers, so hopefully he'll respond.

I've got some new additions to this addon in the pipe, including support for images.

fantasti.cc has it's own favourites system, which requires an account. hopefully i'll add support for adding to the favourites, so the addon is more synced with the browsing experience.

it already has support for reading your favourite vids (if you add in Addon Settings your login details)
