I'm using for a while XBMC and I'm happy with it. However I couldn't understand really to update library every time after extract any tv show to library. I should always go to library and make "scan for new content" and sometimes it doesn't work.

I tried many skins. I enabled "scan for new content startup" things but I'm really tired.

Is there any trick to update newly added videos automatically like press one key?

What I did is I installed the XBMC auto-updater plugin from the main XBMC addon repo, and I have it set to update often so that new content is added automatically.

Could be a problem with how the files are named. Make sure they are in their own folder. Check the imdb and tvdb site and see if the episode names are the same.

"S01E01 - episode name.avi " is the naming I have the most success with.
There is also an update library in context menu

I have mine check/update upon boot and also have SickBeard configured to tell XBMC to update.
