i have been using XBMC on my appletv with gentoo as the linux distro. i am able to play 1080p smoothly when crystalhd IS being used. this is how htop looks like in this case:
sometimes however CPU usage goes to 100% and video is choppy, audio/video sync is off and xbmc behaves as if crystalhd is not being used. usually i have to exit xbmc, modprobe -r cyrstalhd module then modprobe it back up, restart xbmc and things play smoothly again.
how can i give you more info so that you can help me with it?
