I know it's not a direct xbmc question, but I figured it was worth a shot.

Anyone know how I can add a static route to the apple tv?

I need a static route as some network resources are on a different subnet and need to be pointed to an internal router.

Not sure how bare bones the unix/linux environment is on atv2 but I would assume you could just do simple command line route adds via ssh.
