I already have an ATv with Crystal HD and Crystalbuntu ! I was wondering if its better to switch to ATv2 or not ?

2 ) Atv2 + xbmc

ATV2 is
* smaller, silent and cooler running
* limited to 720p display output
* cannot use USB devices so network source only
* has hardware acceleration for H.264 only but SD videos based off other codecs should play okay but no to HD material using those codecs.

If your content is a mix of SD video along with HD H.264 on a network source then the ATV2 should work out fine. In terms of media decoding capabilities the ATV1 + CrystalHD is more capable.

I would get a Mac Mini. As for ATV2 vs ATV1 that is tricky. It depends on how stable you have the CHD card working.
