[ATV1] Looking for a FAQ
#1
I'm moving from an xbox to appleTV1 for XBMC. I'm having a few issues and am looking for info. I've found an FAQ for xbmc on appleTV but it does not answer some questions I have about it. I Found this:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=XBMC_for_Mac_on_Apple_TV

- Is there documentation explaining exactly how to use the mini white apple remote? I've found that holding the play/pause button down for awhile makes things happen, but I suspect there are other things I am missing, like combo presses etc. I'm not quite getting it..

- I have XBMC installed already (10.0). If I go into Launcher and download XBMC again, will it reload the same version, or will it only install a new version if it is higher than the one I have? Can it show me the SVN level of what is available? I'm not looking for a nightly build, just the latest stable one.

- If Launcher installs a new (or the same?) version, are my settings saved? Or do I have to re-add my sources and stuff?

- How do I set my timezone? Date it right, time appears to be GMT

No combo presses on Apple Remote except for Menu + Minus which is reboot.
The 7 second Small Step Back is my choice, the standard Step Back, 30 seconds.
Launcher will install what is available and will not look at the version first, you can see which version you have in Settings>SystemInfo and your settings are saved in Userdata and will not be affected.

MacMini 2.3gHz i7, OS X 10.13.6
Running Kodi 18.9
