I am trying to set up this device:

If I install Ubuntu 10.04 the Ethernet works but the remote doesn't.

If I install xbmc the remote works but the Ethernet doesn't.

The remote is a Pinnacle remote for Windows Vista.

Ethernet is a Jmicron JM260.

Very confusing.

Going to try Ubuntu 10.10 and see if that helps.

Well, crud. Guess tomorrow I'll have to try Windows XP. Just tried Ubuntu 10.10 and Debian neither of which recognizes the Ethernet controller.
