HiHo, after meddling a few days with a desktop installation of ubuntu i gave up because of image probs running hdmi, anyways xbmc Live 10 runs really good apart from one thing.
Whenever i play mpg content such as a dvd disc (be it an image, folder or proper disc) i have to set interlaced handling to none, if i dont i get massive frame drops along with badly corrupted image, problem is the image quality isnt anywhere near what i got in win7 using the same machine so im suspecting setting interlaced handling to none does mean it dosent properly de interlace the video.
If anyone has had a similair issue or can point me in the right direction i would be very happy.
Some info on setup:
ASUS AT3IONT-i Deluxe
64GB Cruicial real ssd
2x2GB DDR3
Hokked up to a 47' 1080P lcd via HDMI
SPDIF out to reciever (DD/DTS)
XBMC set to adjust refresh rate to match video fps and sync to audio stream and set to use vdapu with advanced shaders
