"migration" process eating up cpu on XBMC start
#1
Out of the blue (really, I was in the middle of watching a movie) my Fedora 14 computer running XBMC started to crawl. Upon inspection, there is a process called "migration" eating up the CPU.

If I kill the XBMC process, then "migration" goes away too. It reappears every time I start XBMC now and the system is almost unusable until I kill XBMC again.

Any idea what this is?

Not sure what you refer to but xbmc only starts one process which is called xbmc when it starts, if you have another process running which is not xbmc which is eating cpu then its likely not xbmc fault.
