Well, I had to reboot my poor Ubuntu machine after nearly 6 months. What a stupid idea that was...
Now it seems like XBMC can't find my keymaps anymore. They're still present in keyboard.xml so it's not that. And I've used the lirc command "irw" to see that there's no problem there. And there isn't. The keys are still giving the same output as always.
So what have gone wrong? I've tried everything I know. Even rebooted a couple of more times just in case. Well, I'm out of ideas and I'm turning to this great community of people instead. Can you help me? It's really annoying.

Well, it seems that if I unplugged my IR receiver and plugged it back in while in XBMC it found my keybinds.. Anyway, it works now.
