Hi,
This may be a newbie question, but I was wondering if someone could explain the different resolution outputs from xbmc or windows.
I'm running XBMC on Windows 7 with a Radeon 5750 graphic card. I have a full HD LCD so naturally i run windows/xbmc in 1080p. However i've noticed that whatever video content i display, regardless of resolution, my LCD always says it displays 1080p. So i'm a little confused. Is Windows, XBMC, or my graphic card scale up the picture? I've also connected my video through a receiver that is capable of scaling up to 1080p but afaik this is not enabled atm.
For the record, when I play a 480 video source and compare it to a 1080p video source I do see a very big difference in quality (and resolution, I think) even though my LCD says it's displaying 1080p on both.
Would be happy if someone could explain this
