[Windows]Project 64 Launcher help
#1
I've scoured the forums and internet, but to no avail cannot get Project 64 (Vers. 1.7) to load using the Launcher plugin. I can get it to read my roms, but when I pick one it loads Project 64, and I get the "attempt to load file failed" error. The only solution I've seem to find is setting up Hyperspin, but that seems like overkill just for one system when I've gotten NES and SNES emulators working just fine. Has anybody gotten this to work yetHuh?

You can use Advanced Launcher to do this (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=85724). Here you have the user guide to install and use advanced launcher (http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3) and here you have the WIKI page of the project64 configuration (http://www.gwenael.org/xbmc/index.php?ti...64#Windows). It is for the version 1.60. But for the version 1.7 you just have to replace the argument %rom% by "%rom%" (with quotes).

I hope you have figured this out by yourself by now. Because it only took me about 20 mins of searching to solve this issue. But just in case anyone else falls upon this forum such as I did, this is what I did to make this work. Pretty fucking simple lol.

Set up your emulator in Advanced Launcher like you normally would. When you are asked for the application arguments all you have to do is make sure %rom% has quotation marks around it. Change the application arguments from %rom% to "%rom%".

If you want Project 64 to boot the rom in full screen you have to change that setting in the emulator itself.

Click on Options
Click on Settings...
Click on Options tab
Check On loading a ROM go to full screen

This ain't rocket science.

p.s. I am using Project64 2.1 also.
