Hi,

I have Natty and tried to install XBMC-PVR, unfortunately all add-ons related to pvr are broken. What can I do ? I'm using mythtv but it's archaic. Is there any way to make it usable ?

What do you mean when you say you installed "XBMC-PVR"? Are you compiling dushmaniacs PVR repository?

The only place that the MythTV Addon is in a semi-working state is https://github.com/dteirney/xbmc/tree/pvr

If you want a stable version of XBMC that works with MythTV perhaps look at the options listed at http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=MythTV

the other pvr add-ons aren't broken in my repo, so I suspect another source

Ok, eventually I managed to make it work! I went through the steps I found today in the other post. So I needed to get rid of all db files in ~/.xbmc/userdata/Database. Then I created user in tvheadend (I decided to give it a chance, anything might be better then mythtv). And after enabled pvr add-on and main live tv features. Booom works!

And in fact tvheadend has a pretty good time of zapping.

I have entered the world of mythtv and now got a working setup! What is the current state of the mythtv xbmc pvr addon? Is there anything useful I can look at getting working/bug fixes? My c++ can do with some practise!

Is https://github.com/dteirney/xbmc/tree/pvr the latest branch?
