Big Grin
This would be a sweet plug in/option, is it in the works, or is it just impossible?

Anyone have any idea if this is possible? Would love to get rid of my 360's!

You can? Does it look up episode info from the air date or something?

I'd guess that vikjon0 just meant that you could record TV to a file using WMC then play that file on XBMC. There's no integration between XBMC and WMB.

@vivithemage: you can't integrate WMC into XBMC e.g. you can't use it as an external player. It is possible to launch WMC from XBMC, but this is generally a bit hacky.

Yes, that's what I meant.

There used to be a 3rd party app called web guide or something but that guy got hired by MS. Don't know what is available now.
Anyway, it could transcode the content and display it on the web.

If something like this is available still perhaps something can be done. You would have to do some more research....

Would it be possible to have MCE as TV backend and use XBMC
as frontend GUI for live TV, recordings and EPG?

that would be nice

I have extensive wmc development experience, I'd be happy to work on a plugin project with someone that has decent/good xbmc plugin development experience.

If you can make an api available I guess a lot of people would be interested.

What is really needed for an integration?
An api that can be accessed from python and a stream?
