Will not play this video - can you help?

I've got an issue with some of my wmv files not playing correctly.
They start off fine, but when I try to skip ahead or fast forward, they jump right to the end. Any ideas?

BTW - Windows Media Player is able to play the files without issue.

I think this is a known bug with WMV, and because WMV is a closed format no-one is terribly interested in fixing it.

Thanks. Just surprised Windows Media Player will play it without issue and XBMC will not.

WMV is a closed format designed by Microsoft, and Windows Media Player is written by Microsoft. It's hardly surprising that WMP plays WMV well.
