Use command line to change display settings?
#1
Hi,

Hopefully a quick question...

How can I change the display settings using the command line?
Specifically I want to disable Broadcom Crystal HD.

Previously I was using Crystal HD but I suspect that my card has a problem. I was getting very strange speckle and flickering glithes over HDMI.

I have taken out the Crystal HD card and put back the wifi card.
Everything works fine in Apple OS but there is no display in XBMC.

Thanks

Matt

Edit guisettings.xml, find the <usechd> node, set it to false.

Perfect! Thank You...

For anyone who finds this post later the path for appletv is...

/Users/frontrow/Library/Application\ Support/XBMC/userdata/guisettings.xml
