The Subscene website just add the capcha login so addon hasn't worked. Hope it will be fixed!

Also hoping there will be a work around or fix for the new captcha issue. I also have the same problem as Rapsody 10 on certain shows.

RE: service.subtitles.subscene - DXer - 2018-04-11

Any word on this? I find Open Subtitles has far fewer results that SubScene (and often none at all). As someone with impaired hearing I've been left in the lurch since this stopped working. Are there any other reliable and viable sources for English language subtitles out there that Kodi can fetch automatically?

I use also bsplayer and podnapisi add-one for English subtiles. Try them

I have both installed but I've never been able to get a subtitle out of either service. I watch TV shows exclusively, however, not movies, so I don't know if these two services work for recent episodes. I'd always found Subscene to be the best. I'd get dozens of hits from it, and maybe 2 or 3 from OpenSubtitles.

RE: service.subtitles.subscene - Rapsody10 - 2018-04-13

addic7ed is a good one for series
podnapisi was a good one but became very unreliable

hopefully subscene gets fixed for either the original or the new fork

regards

R

@CrowleyAJ
Hello, thanks for your nice addon.

I noticed that subs for "Marvel Agents of SHIELD" were not matched correctly.
I've seen your "aliases" fix to eliminate "Marvels" prefix, but actually doesn't work anymore (it doesn't match, and fuzzy search always return season 1), because subscene already fixed titles for both "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow".

So actually removing SHIELD from the aliases array fixed the problem Smile
Also removing Legends is the right step, although keeping it doesn't break the search.

Hope that makes sense

It looks like this addon doesn't work for every body. I live in US and this addon doesn't work for me and other people i know, but it works somewhere the web http://subscene.com don't do the DOS protection.

service.subtitles.subscene - tchirou - 2018-05-08

I am in France and the add-on works flawlessly

RE: service.subtitles.subscene - usphil - 2018-05-08

Yes, I know that, thanks for your confirmation. Just not sure all US location don't work or just me.

RE: service.subtitles.subscene - hernandito - 2018-05-12

In the US and not working for me. Sad

Any workaround?

RE: service.subtitles.subscene - hernandito - 2018-05-12

Sounds like a lot of trouble, but would connecting through a VPN server in a foreign country work? Hate to pay for the service for just this.

Yes, I have to turn on VPN (I only tested UK) and subscene searches subtitles flawlessly. So definitely issue with US.
